Encordia Piano teaches by ear. It speaks each lesson aloud, demonstrates on a keyboard you can watch, and checks what you play on your own MIDI keyboard while it is still talking.

What makes it different
Closer to a lesson than to an app
Most piano apps show you a scrolling roll of notes and score you afterwards. This one behaves like a teacher sitting next to you.
It teaches out loud
Lessons are spoken, not written. The teacher explains an idea, plays it on a keyboard you can see, and asks you to try it.
It listens while it talks
You are not stopped and quizzed. The teacher keeps going and notices what you played, the way a person in the room would.
A song is the goal
Choose a piece you want to play. The skills it depends on become your path, in the order you need them.
Right notes, judged exactly
Correctness is measured against what the music asks for. No language model is guessing whether you played it.
Ask questions out loud
Hold a button and ask anything mid-lesson. The answer comes back spoken, about the thing you are working on.
Review finds you
Older material comes back on its own when it starts to fade, so nothing quietly rots while you move ahead.
The goal song
Learn a piece, not a syllabus
You pick a song as your goal. Encordia works backwards from it: the chords, shapes and listening skills it needs become your path, and each one is taught and then quizzed until it sticks.
When you reach the piece, you learn it in small chunks by ear — a few bars at a time, one hand or both — and the app tells you exactly which notes landed.
